By the end of the session, students should be able to compare Matthew, Mark, and Luke, observe both the similarities and differences in the accounts, and understand how these insights can be applied in preaching, teaching, counseling, and personal spiritual growth. The lesson also encourages students to consider why John is not synoptic and the value of studying different perspectives of Jesus’ life and ministry.
